Lauren’s Concert
Last night we went to Lauren’s last middle school concert. It was wonderful, and hard to believe how all the students have progressed since they started. Lauren wants to continue playing the bass clarinet in high school, so this won’t be the last concert we go to. Here are some photos taken last night.

The Little Princess
Since I haven’t updated my blog for awhile, I’ll post this photo of Misty that I’ve made into a sketch with a border effect.

Traveling the Back Roads
My friend Roxanne is an expert at traveling the back roads to get places. She wouldn’t dream of taking a main road when she can get there on a windy, narrow back road. Last week we went for a drive. Needless to say, I have no idea how we got there or what roads we traveled but we did see some lovely old buildings and barns. Here are some of them.

Happy Birthday, Samson
We went to the Baltimore Zoo on Saturday. We found out that it was the baby elephant’s birthday. His name is Samson and he weighs one thousand pounds.

All the wild cats were, of course, behind glass. I was pleased with how their photos turned out.

Whatcha Lookin At?
This little guy is eating us out of house and home. He sits in the bird feeder for hours, constantly eating. He was there for two and a half hours yesterday. At this point I’m surprised he can even move. I swear, he looks bigger than he did last week.
